A ballet class filled with teenage dancers and several adults ended abruptly Thursday evening when a car crashed through the studio's glass window and injured several people.
At Dance Track Studio in Wakefield, a 55-year-old woman in a Honda Accord drove her car through the glass windows after backing out of a parking spot and speeding forward.
Parents were waiting in the front room of the studio when the vehicle crashed through.
Three teenagers, ages 13, 15 and 16, and two adult women, ages 32 and 45, were transported to a nearby hospital. While most had minor injuries, one person did have a fractured femur.
"There were a couple of girls with neck braces. There was one girl who looked more hurt than the other ones," a witness told WCVB.
The driver will be cited with operating negligently so as to endanger, according to Wakefield Police. The driver's name has not been released.
