A casting company has put out the call for people who are interested in being a movie based on one of Boston's most notorious crime figures.
A casting call will be held this weekend for extras to appear in the movie "Black Mass" starring Johnny Depp as James "Whitey" Bulger.
The Boston-based casting company C.P. Casting posted information about the weekend search on its website.
Background extras and speaking roles are needed for the movie that will film in Boston between May 19 and August 1, according to the casting flier.
The flier also said casting officials are looking for men, women and children of all ethnicities and types, but also offered specifics: "Italian wise guys, Irish tough guys, politicians, Southie on St. Patrick's Day, people with cars from the 70s/80s."
The casting call takes place Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Boston Teacher's Union at 180 Mount Vernon St. in Dorchester.
