Rev. Paul Williams, 62, explained that he was inside his vehicle just outside St. Paul's Catholic Church when an unknown man walked up and stuck a gun in his face, according to The News Journal of Wilmington.
Williams said he surrendered his vehicle for fear of his life. Williams told the newspaper that he was not dressed in his Franciscan habit at the time of the incident. Police spotted the vehicle later in the day, and waited for the suspect to get into the car before they approached.
Deiondre Travis, 19, of Wilmington, was charged with robbery and related offenses.
