The city will pay $75,000 to the woman who was struck in the face by a Philadelphia police officer at the 2012 Puerto Rican Day Parade to settle a federal lawsuit, reports say.
Aida Guzman, 39, was hit by Lt. Jonathan Josey during a commotion at the Sept. 30 celebration last year. The incident, which was caught on video and went viral, happened after Josey thought Guzman threw beer on him.
Josey was fired from the police department, but was found not guilty of assaulting the woman in February. Josey has lobbied to get his job back.
