A Connecticut man was stabbed to death after trying to break up a fight in the Bronx Saturday morning.
While visiting his brother and some friends in the city, Ronis Garcia, 28, came across a fight between two women in the hallway of a Hunts Point apartment building around 7:20 a.m., the New York Post reports.
When Garcia tried to break up the fight, one of women turned her weapon against him.
Police found Garcia, of Norfolk, Conn., with one stab wound to the chest. Emergency personnel took him to Lincoln Hospital where he pronounced dead on arrival.
Nereline Santana, 21, of Woodstock, was arrested and charged with Garcia's murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
Carmen Puerto-Cruz, a resident of Texas, was also arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon Saturday.
