A construction worker was killed today in a building collapse in Harlem.
The FDNY reported that one person was killed and two others were injured in a building collapse at 130th Street and Broadway.
Workers were reportedly working to demolish the building when it suddenly collapsed shortly before 8 a.m.
The New York Post reported that the Harlem building is owned by Columbia University and part of their planned expansion.
“I don’t know what happened,” a machine operator told the Post. “The whole thing was falling and nobody touched it.”
