Cops: 17-year-old dead from Charlestown shooting

A teen who was shot last week in Charlestown has died.

The 17-year-old was shot near 274 Main Street Wednesday night around 9:40 p.m. He was transported to Mass General Hospital and police have since announced that he succumbed to his gunshot wound. The teen was one of two people to be shot in that incident.

That incident occurred during a spate of violence that saw five shootings in Boston in two days.

Police are continuing to investigate the mater.
