Cops hunt man who beat agent over ticket

Police were searching last night for a man who cracked a traffic enforcement agent’s skull regarding a ticket for double-parking.

It was around 8:35 a.m. when 35-year-old NYPD Traffic Enforcement Agent Edgar Saeteros approached a double-parked Lincoln on Virginia Avenue in the Parkchester section of the Bronx.

The driver confronted the agent, then attacked, punching and kicking him. He abandoned his car and ran from the scene.

The agent was left on the ground with a fractured skull. He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition. Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly visited the agent — a husband and father of an 11-year-old daughter — at the hospital.
“The assault of Traffic Enforcement Agent Saeteros this morning was a terrible attack and we are focused on capturing his assailant,” Kelly said in a statement.
