A Dorchester man upset about mice in his apartment decided that allegedly threatening a worker with a gun was a good way to get rid of them.

Police said that officers were called to Waldeck Street in Dorchester at about 11:15 a.m. on Monday for a report of a man with a gun.

The victim told officers he was doing work in a backyard when a man he knew approached him and complained about mice in his apartment.

The worker told the man that he would call an exterminator and asked him to calm down.

That’s when the man allegedly yelled “I’ll get you” and pulled out a gun before fleeing on foot into an apartment.

Officers spoke to witnesses who said they heard the men arguing and the man pull out a gun.

Police were able to track down Anthony Boston, 57, and charged him with assault by means of a dangerous weapon.
