A Boston man who was slinging bricks through the glass front of a Beacon Hill store was busted by police early Thursday morning.

Boston police said that officers were called to a breaking and entering on Charles Street just before 2 a.m.

While on their way, officers noticed a man matching a description given by a witness. The officers stopped the man and noticed he was carrying a brick, police said.

A witness told officers that he heard loud banging noises and when he looked outside he saw the man allegedly throwing bricks through the storefront of North River Outfitter. The witness then said the man went into the store and caused damage to the glass window and wooden frame.

Police charges James Watson, 48, with destruction of personal property.
