Authorities are continuing their search for a man suspected in a $54,000 jewelry heist last week.
Police said the suspect stepped into the Margo Manhattan jewelry store in the Upper East Side about 1:50 p.m. on April 11.
The suspect, described as a black male, asked a 53-year-old female employee to see some of the jewelry in the high-end Madison Avenue store.
When the employee approached the man, he allegedly grabbed her neck and forced her into the store's back room. He snatched a key from the employee after he tied her up.
The suspect proceeded to take items from a jewelry case and the back room, making off with tens of thousands of dollars' worth of jewels.
The man was last seen wearing a black Brooklyn Nets baseball cap, a black T-shirt, blue jeans, a black belt with a silver-colored buckle and a beaded silver chain.
Earlier this month, police released surveillance video of the suspect walking into the Manhattan store.
Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS or to submit tips online.
