Cops seek suspect in anti-gay assault in Midtown

Police are searching for a man they say made an anti-gay comment toward two men and then assaulted one of them inside a deli in Manhattan early Sunday morning.

The man entered Speedy’s located at Broadway and 32nd Street at about 3:10 a.m. on Sunday, police said. He approached the two male victims, made the comment and then kicked one of them in the left shoulder. He then fled on foot westbound on 32nd Street, police said.

The suspect is being described as a white or Hispanic male in his 40s with black hair. He was last seen wearing a black tank top, black shorts, black sneakers and carrying a dark-colored backpack.
