Police are trying to determine if human remains found buried in a Queens backyard on Tuesday are those of a man who was reported missing last week.

Cops responded to the home on Putnam Avenue in Ridgewood after a neighbor reported seeing someone throw out an unusually large bag in the trash, NBC News reported.

Detectives found a burnt sleeping bag in the garbage as well as gloves and ammonia on the roof. They then discovered a shallow grave in the backyard that contained the body.

Sources told NBC News that the remains could be those of retired postal worker Frank Soucie, 60. He lived at the residence with his girlfriend and was reported missing by family members about a week ago.

The girlfriend’s adult son is wanted for questioning, a source told NBC. The investigation is ongoing.
