MANHATTAN – Public high school teacher Carlos Garcia is suing the city after he was suspended and fined $15,000 for what school officials claim was misconduct for using the “C-word” in a Manhattan classroom.
The word, “coño,” can be offensive, depending upon on how it’s used. It can mean anything from vulgar slang for female sex organs to an expression of frustration, unhappiness or joy. Much of that meaning is derived from the tone that’s used when saying it.
