Cyclones looking for singers

After her lyric-malfunction at the Super Bowl, Christina Aguilera can redeem herself by performing at a Brooklyn Cyclones game this summer.

After her lyric-malfunction at the Super Bowl, Christina Aguilera can redeem herself by performing at a Brooklyn Cyclones game this summer.

The Cyclones, a New York Mets minor-league affiliate who play at Coney Island, have offered Aguilera the opportunity to perform the National Anthem at one of their home games.

And it’s not just Aguilera who can perform: all city high schools, choral groups, glee clubs and church choirs are invited to send an audition tape to the Cyclones. Five finalists will be chosen and the winner will get to perform in front of thousands at MCU Park on July 30 and win $500. Visit www.brooklyncyclones.com for more information on submitting.
