An accused serial rapist who is allegedly responsible for five violent attacks and rapes of women was held on high bail Tuesday.
Tikee Beverly, 37, of Roxbury pleaded not guilty during his arraignment in Suffolk Superior Court, according to the Suffolk district attorney's office.
Beverly is accused of attacking women during five incidents between September and February. The attacks took place in Dorchester, Roxbury and Jamaica Plain.
"These attacks all took place in broad daylight at abandoned or dilapidated buildings," said Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley. "There are patterns and similarities linking them above and beyond the forensic evidence that police and prosecutors have assembled. This is still a very active investigation and additional indictments are possible."
Some of the cases were linked by DNA evidence and others by video surveillance, prosecutors said.
