The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for the entire Delaware Valley until 5 p.m. today.

The tornado watch began at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to be lifted at 5 p.m. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are possible in the Philadelphia area this evening, bringing much cooler weather in their wake.

The tornado watch affects all of Pennsylvania and Delaware, and most of New Jersey.
