Philadelphia police obtained an arrest warrant Wednesday for a suspect wanted in connection with five commercial burglaries over the past two months.
Devon Powell, 49, was identified as the individual responsible for numerous burglaries, according to police. Powell also has outstanding warrants for similar crimes in Yeadon, Pa.
Powell is believed to be homeless and possibly a substance abuser, police said, and reportedly has a history of escape and assault on police.
Powell's signature theft involves throwing bricks or rocks through the front door glass of businesses in South Philadelphia. All of the robberies Powell is alleged to have committed occurred from around midnight to around 6 a.m.
Powell is described as being 5'11", weighing 170 pounds, wearing prescription eyeglasses with gold frames, and is known to ride a dark-colored mountain bike.

-Jan. 12, 5:11 a.m.: Hawthorne's Restaurant, 738 S. 11th St. -Feb. 1, 6:11 a.m.: 19 Degrees Cafe, 1847 S. 19th St. -Feb. 9, 11:41 p.m.: Randazzo's Pizza, 1826 South St. -Feb. 17, 1:26 a.m.: Santucci's Pizza, 901 S. 10th St. -Feb. 17, 6:10 a.m.: Bainbridge Street Barrel House, 625-627 S. 6th St. -Feb. 17, 8:18 a.m.: Ulivo Restaurant, 521 Catharine St.
