Two police officers rescued a 67-year-old disabled man from an East Islip house fire Friday afternoon. Suffolk County police said the officers used a ladder to take James Hanovic down from a roof and administered oxygen. Hanovic was later treated by medical personnel for heart and respiratory problems.
