Dog stolen from MSPCA returned safely

A giant pooch that was allegedly stolen from the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Methuen was returned on Saturday unscathed.

According to WCVB, a man went to the MSPCA on Tuesday and took the Mastiff named Mustafa for a walk, but never returned.

According to reports, the suspect allegedly left his identification at the animal shelter and police were able to contact him.

After some convincing, the man returned Mustafa on Saturday to the Nevins Farm in Methuen.

WCVB reports that while Mustafa was alright, there is no word on whether the suspect who took him will be charged.
