An elderly Southwest Philadelphia man was tied up by three suspects who broke into his home and demanded money.
The suspects rummaged through clothing containers belonging to the victim's son, who is in the Army, during the home invasion, CBS Philly reports. Philadelphia police believe the men were looking for money or guns.
The suspects entered the victim's home on the 6700 block of Trinity Street through an unlocked rear door about 6 p.m. One of the suspects detained the victim with zip ties and stayed with the 71-year-old man while the two others ransacked the home.
The victim's cellphone and some coins were stolen in the home invasion.
Police described the suspects only as black males possibly in their 20s. Two of them wore masks.
