Employees tied up during Lower Manhattan jewelry store robbery

A pair of robbers stormed into a Lower Manhattan jewelry store on Saturday and threatened the store’s employees, a father and daughter, with a gun, police said.

The suspects entered Omega Millennium jewelry store on Nassau Street at about 4:30 p.m. One suspect held out a black firearm while his friend pushed the man and his daughter in a safe room. Both men tied up the victims using zip ties and a cord, police said.

They then removed jewelry from display cases and fled the store.

The first suspect is described as a black male, approximately 40 years old, 6-foot-2, 175 lbs. and wearing a black north face jacket with a purple hooded sweatshirt.

The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 40 years old, 6-foot-1, 200 lbs. and wearing a burgundy leather with a purple hooded sweatshirt and a pair of dark sunglasses.
