Explosives found were 12 years old

The C-4 explosives discovered in a cemetery in the East Village earlier this week are over 12 years old, police tests revealed Tuesday. The explosives, which police think were likely stolen from a military base, did not include a detonator and therefore could not have exploded. No suspect has been identified.
