An early-morning car accident on Fairmount Park’s Chamounix Drive left one dead.
DeVoughn Scott, 24, of the 800 block of N. 48th Street, lost control of his Ford Crown Victoria and smashed into a tree around 3 a.m.
Though fire crews worked nearly 30 minutes to free him, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police continue to investigate.
