FBI, federal agents raid Woburn business (UPDATED)

Federal agents began raiding a Woburn business this morning.

The agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security were seen this morning entering and leaving the large brick building housing the company called Agiltron.

On its website, Agiltron describes itself as a company that “manufactures components, modules, and subsystems for optical communication, sensor, security, medical/environmental, instrumentation, aerospace, and defense applications.”

The specific focus of the investigation or the reason for the raid was not immediately clear.

A spokesman for the FBI in Boston referred question to the US Attorney’s office.

No arrests were expected today and there is no threat to public safety, said Christina DiIorio-Sterling, a spokeswoman for the US Attorney’s office in Boston. She said search warrants relating to the case were sealed.
