Police have arrested a Feltonville man for alleged witness intimidation.
Investigators said 25-year-old Manuel Maldonado, of the 4200 block of Bodine Street, knocked on the front door of a home shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
When a 45-year-old woman opened the door, Maldonado allegedly pointed a handgun at her, threatened her and fled in a vehicle.
Authorities are not disclosing the exact block where the alleged crime took place in order to protect the victims.
Officers soon stopped Maldonado's car on the 100 block of West Norris Street and took Maldonado into custody.
He is charged with aggravated assault, witness intimidation, retaliation and firearms offenses.
Prior to his arrest, authorities issued a bench warrant for Maldonado after he failed to appear at a January court hearing in connection with a narcotics arrest the month before, court documents state.
Maldonado was in 2008 handed down several concurrent prison sentences of one-and-a-half to three years and two-and-a-half to five years in connection with at least two separate arrests after pleading guilty to possessing narcotics with the intent to manufacture or deliver and to criminal conspiracy while engaging in the possession or sale of narcotics.
