One of the most classic baseball movies will be screened at one of America’s classic stadiums during a special event this week.

Fenway Park is putting on its first ever movie night Wednesday with a special screening of “The Sandlot.” Tickets are $10 or $5 for kids 12 and under. Season ticket holders and members of Red Sox Kid Nation get free tickets.

The movie will be shown on the 40 by 100-foot HD center field screen and seating will be limited to the lower bowl and down the first base line to ensure the best viewing.

Gates open at 7 p.m. for the 8 p.m. showing. Fans can roam the warning track and take picture before the start of the movie.

And while there won’t be a game played on the field, you’ll still be able to get your favorite Fenway treats as concessions will be available during the showing.
