First Lady Michelle Obama is spending the day in New York City.
She flew into the big apple earlier today where she spoke at the nonprofit Global Kids in Kips Bay to learn about its education and digital media programs. Global Kids focuses on preparing kids who live in urban environments to prepare for the global workplace.
This afternoon, the First Lay will deliver the key remarks for the 85th annual LULAC convention in Greenwich Village. Her remarks to the Hispanic civil rights group will highlight the role education plays in cultivating successful individuals and communities. She will reportedly be introduced by Jennifer Lopez.
In the evening, the First Lady will speak at a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee.
