A two-vehicle accident in Philadelphia's Fishtown section left one person in extremely critical condition.

The accident occurred about 7:10 p.m. Sunday.

Witnesses told police that the vehicle ran a red light while heading west on the 400 block of East Girard Avenue just before it hit another car, which was heading south on Columbia Avenue.

Four people were trapped inside one of the cars after it overturned. The second vehicle came to rest on a nearby trolley platform.

The person most seriously injured in the crash remained in critical condition Monday morning at Temple University Hospital, police said. Three others were treated for injuries at Temple and Hahnemann University hospitals.
