Flooding Shuts Down Six SEPTA Rail Lines

Service on six SEPTA Regional Rail lines remains suspended due to flooding and officials are not sure when it will be restored.

Early this morning, officials shut down service to Lansdale/Doylestown, West Trenton, Warminster, Chestnut Hill West, Norristown and Cynwyd. Crews are making repairs and assessing the situation, but currently Mother Nature is winning.

In a bit of good news, the Paoli/Thorndale line which was down yesterday, was restored this morning. SEPTA says most of its other rail lines are running on or close to schedule.

The flooding has also forced about 20 bus routes to make detours. Visit septa.org for more details.
