A Frankford man reacted to a home invasion-style burglary Thursday afternoon by attacking one of the intruders, wrestling loose a handgun and firing the weapon at the two suspects.
The home invasion happened about 1 p.m. on the 5200 block of Sylvester Street, according to reports.
The victim told police he struck one of the suspects in an exchange of gunfire inside his home.
The homeowner was not injured in the incident.
Philadelphia police are investigating. Police reportedly found a trail of blood, possibly from one of the suspects, in an alley behind the victim's home.
