Workers at a gas station convenience store in Germantown protected a shooting victim as the gunman chased after him early Friday.
The shooting victim, a 17-year-old boy, ran into the Sunoco APlus store on Germantown Avenue about 12:30 a.m., 6ABC Action News reports. He had been shot several times in his groin, and the man who shot him was close behind when the Sunoco employees locked him inside the store.
The gunman approached the store, but fled the area upon discovering the workers had locked the doors.
The victim was last reported to be in critical but stable condition.
Philadelphia police were reviewing surveillance video from the area. It is believed the shooting happened in the area of Green Street and West Queen Lane.
