An 11-year-old girl was hit by a car in Dorchester on Sunday afternoon, the Globe reports.
The child, who was not identified, was reportedly hurt when she was struck by the vehicle about 3:30 p.m. as she crossed Hancock Street.
The girl was not believed to be walking through a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Her injuries were not expected to be life-threatening.
It is unclear whether the driver will be cited for the incident.
