Girl, 16, lured to roof, raped and thrown off building in Brooklyn

Police have arrested one man and are searching for a second suspect who allegedly lured a 16-year-old girl to a roof in Brooklyn, sexually assaulted her and then threw her off of the building, police said.

The incident occurred on July 14 at about 4 a.m. when the two suspects brought the girl to the roof of 725 Miller Ave. in East New York, police said. The men allegedly raped the girl and then threw her off of the roof, causing injuries to her leg, arm and neck.

Anwar Desouza, 24, has been charged with attempted murder, rape, assault, criminal sex act and strangulation.

Police have released a photo of the second suspect, who has been identified as 26-year-old Antonio Owensford.
