STATEN ISLAND – An 83-year-old doctor has been accused of running a painkiller ring out of his Staten Island home. Officials said Dr. Felix Lanting provided OxyContin to addicts, and bouncers he hired also recruited people to get prescriptions and sell them pills. He’s also accused of writing more than 3,000 prescriptions since April, often for people under 30.
