Two elected officials joined security guards during a rally Thursday for protection against sexual harassment.
Two female workers have filed separate complaints against U.S. Security Associates with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Pennsylvania Human Rights Commission.
One complaint alleges a manager made unwanted advances toward a guard at the Philadelphia Nursing Home, while the second complaint accuses two guards at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children of harassment. In both incidents, the women were allegedly fired after complaining.
City Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown and State Rep. Kenyatta Johnson spoke in support of the workers.
