Harvard University opens skating rink to public

You don’t have to be wicked smart to skate at Harvard University.

Technically, you don’t even have to be good at skating.

As part of the prestigious schools yearlong 375th anniversary celebration, Harvard has opened up a rink for people who have blades of glory.

Sharpen up those skates, because you can already hit the ice.

The rink opened on January 17 and features a 40-foot-by-60-foot area so you can do all those fancy twirls and dips that you see in the Olympics.

The rink is located in the plaza adjacent to the Science Center, according to the University.

It will be open and free to members of the Harvard community and the public.

There are rentals on-site, or you can bring your own blades.
