BRONX – A 24-year-old Bronx woman yesterday was indicted for manslaughter after hitting a pedestrian in November on the Upper West Side and then fleeing the scene, according to
the Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance.
Jessica Altruz sped through a yellow traffic light on West 93rd Street at Columbus Avenue and killed Margaret Fisher, a 67-year-old retired nurse who was walking home with her groceries.
Altruz faces up to 15 years in prison.
