QUEENS – A young woman was shot and killed Sunday night in front of her husband after refusing to hand her purse over to muggers.
Rabie Muhammed, 23, and her husband were walking home in Hollis when they encountered three men in red sweatshirts. An NYPD spokesman told Metro that there was a scuffle and one of the hooded men pulled a gun and fired two times, hitting Muhammed.
Muhammed was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where she died of wounds to her torso. Her husband wasn’t injured.
