The numbers don’t lie.
A new report from the Associated Press says that there are twice as many rats as humans in New York City. Metro crunched the numbers to show how rats stack up to some other city icons. Check out the graph above. Click on the image to see it bigger.
Something to think about
In 2012, New York City population reached 8.4 million people. The number of rats in the city: 16.6 million. If you really want to put things in perspective, there are about two rats to every New Yorker. This is great news for anyone out there who loves those street-dwelling creatures.
