Williamsburg really is starting to lose its edge.
The clothier usually associated with preppies is considering opening up shop along Bedford Avenue in hipster Williamsburg, according to a report in The Real Deal.
J. Crew is considering leasing 35,000 square feet of retail space at 247 Bedford Avenue, a building that sits between North 3rd and North 4th streets.
That building currently houses the Bagel Store and a health food shop, Millennium Health. According to The Real Deal, the landlords are open to re-signing both of those tenants — if they can afford the monthly rents of between $185 and $200 per square foot.
