The rent is still too damn high, and so Jimmy McMillan, founder of the “Rent is Too Damn High” party, has announced his run for mayor with the release of a brand new rap video.
The song and video, produced by AnimalNewYork, features lyrics such as “The rent is too damn high; My mustache and haircut is too damn fly” and shows McMillan rapping in front of a number of city landmarks. [videoembed id=140554]
“I’m Jimmy McMillan, 2013, I’m running for mayor, come and run with me, because the rent is too damn high,” he raps on.
McMillan, 66, has run for office several times in the past two decades. He rose to fame in 2010 when he ran for governor on the “Rent is Too Damn High” line.
