Leibby Kletzky: Brooklyn boy found dead (UPDATED)

Leibby Kletzky, 8, who went missing while walking home from day camp, was found dead and dismembered today in a Brooklyn refrigerator.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said suspect Levi Aron, 35, was taken into custody shortly before 3 a.m.

Kelly said that Aron killed Kletzky when he realized how many people were looking for him.

“He panicked, and that is why he killed the boy,” Kelly said.

Cops found Kletzky’s remains in the Kensington man’s refrigerator.

The boy had walked home from school for the first time that day, and his parents were waiting for him six blocks away.

His family, neighbors and Brooklyn volunteers alongside police had been looking for the boy since he was last seen Monday afternoon after leaving school.

Police reportedly speculate that Aron ran into Kletzky outside a dentist’s office, where he was asking for directions, and the man took Kletzky in his car.

Cops found Aron after a neighborhood patrol spotted his car and sent them a photo of the license plate, Jacob Daskal, coordinator of the Boro Park Shomrim, told Metro.

“Horrible is not the word,” Daskal said.
