As commuters were urged to use mass transit due to ice and snow on the city’s roads Wednesday, the MTA is now reporting delays and service suspensions on several subway lines.
Due to signal problems, there are no 1 or 3 trains between 42nd Street-Times Square and 137th Street-City College in both directions.
Number 2 trains are running on the 5 line between 149th Street-Grand Concourse and Nevins Street in both directions.
Customers are advised to use A and C trains for service along Central Park West.
Due to FDNY activity at 42nd Street-Grand Central, there are no 7 trains between Queensboro Plaza and 42nd Street-Times Square. Customers are advised to use N and Q trains to and from Manhattan.
Due to signal problems at Ditmas Avenue, Court Square-bound G trains are running express from Church Avenue to Smith-Ninth Street.
There are also delays on the 4, 5 and 6 lines in both directions, as well as on southbound N and Q trains.
Meanwhile, the Long Island Rail Road is reporting delays on the Hempstead, Port Jefferson and Ronkonkoma lines. Metro-North is reporting delays on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines.
