A Malden man arrested at Sullivan Square early Wednesday allegedly beat a man and demanded money, according to MBTA Transit Police.
Mohamed Noor, 28, allegedly demanded money then struck the 53-year-old victim in the face several times and knocked him to the ground when the victim told him he did not have money.
The victim escaped and found safety when a nearby bus operator allowed him into the vehicle. Noor allegedly pounded on the vehicle and demanded the driver open the door, then fled to another bus where he was located by Transit Police and arrested.
Police said Noor had removed his shirt in an apparent attempt to thwart law enforcement.
Noor was also arrested back in October 2013 for allegedly assaulting a 69-year-old man at Roxbury Crossing station who asked him to quiet down or leave the station, according to Transit Police.
