A man suffered life-threatening injuries after a violent attack in Brighton over the weekend and police are asking the public’s help to find the suspects.

Police were called to the area of 1350 Commonwealth Ave. just after 12:30 a.m. on Saturday for a report of an assault.

When officers arrived they spoke to the victim’s friend who said two men jumped and attacked the victim.

The man was violently attacked and suffered head trauma. He was taken to Brigham & Women’s Hospital where his condition worsened and his injuries are now believed to be life threatening, Boston police said.

Investigators are trying to identify and locate the people who jumped the man. The victim’s friend described the attackers as black men, both about 6 feet tall with medium builds. One was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and the other was wearing a burnt red T-shirt and a red hat with the letter “C” imprinted on it.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the assault or who may have information about it to contact them.

Anyone with information can call 617-343-4470 or text “tip” to 27463 (crime).
