Man caught on video pickpocketing at Downtown Crossing MBTA Station

The MBTA Transit Police are asking for the public’s help to apprehend a man who was caught pickpocketing on video while sitting on the stairs in a T station earlier this week.

On Sunday shortly before 4p.m., the sticky-fingered thief reached into the pocket of a passenger at the Downtown Crossing MBTA Station. He was able to grab the passenger’s iPhone and $130.00 in cash.

The pickpocket is shown in the video to be a black male of medium build, measuring approximately 6’ 01’’ in height. He wore a white baseball hat, a white “Free Country” jacket over another camouflaged jacket, camouflaged pants, and a large gold colored medallion around his neck.
