Police say they have arrested the man responsible for slashing the throat of a South Philly convenience store clerk during a late March robbery.
Police arrested Jermain Roberts, 40, of the 6500 block of Lincoln Drive, on Thursday.
Roberts is charged in connection with the March 21 armed robbery of the Good and Plenty Mini Market at 1201 Snyder Ave.
Police have also filed charges against Roberts in the March 10 robbery of the Metro PCS store at 2121 Oregon Ave.
During the Good and Plenty store robbery, police say Roberts punched the store clerk, prompting a struggle during which he allegedly sliced her neck with a knife and rifled through her pockets until she opened the register.
The robber can be seen on surveillance video police posted to YouTube on March 26 stuffing wads of cash into his pockets.
Investigators said the robber then turned his attention to a customer who entered the store mid-robbery. He allegedly made off with the woman’s wallet and cell phone before fleeing the store.
No one was injured in the Metro PCS store robbery.
