Man clocks another guy over a woman at Forest Hills station last month

MBTA police today asked for help to identify two men allegedly involved in an assault at Forest Hills Station about a month ago.

Police said that on June 16, a 55-year-old man was punched above his right eye, and knocked out, after a 22-year-old Hispanic man said he was going to “steal his girlfriend.”

Police said the suspect then fled the station through the lower bus way toward Washington Street.

The suspect was with another man, who police described as 20-year-old white male.

It took a month for transit police to release the details because of procedure: “Like most law enforcement agencies, Transit Police take a number of investigative steps before determining whether it is necessary to seek the public’s assistance in a particular case,” said MBTA Spokesman Joe Pesaturo.
