Man dies after saving boy who jumped into Hudson River

A 40-year-old man died Sunday night after jumping into the Hudson River near the JFK Marina in Yonkers to save a child.

Boyce Coleman jumped in after the six-year-old boy fell into the water, as well as several other people, to pull him to safety.

Coleman, however, went missing in the water. NYPD divers assisted Yonkers Police in recovering Coleman’s body from the river, and were unable to resuscitate him.
